چکیده
Our objective was to compare the effect of treatment with GnRH at first (G1) Breeding-Ovsynch portion a Double-Ovsynch (DO) protocol human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) on pregnancies per artificial insemination (P/AI) in lactating dairy cows. In experiment 1, cows (n = 1,932) submitted DO for timed (TAI) 2 commercial farms were blocked by parity (primiparous vs. multiparous) and randomly assigned receive 100 µg versus 2,500 IU hCG G1. Overall, P/AI 39 d after TAI inseminated sexed semen greater treated than within each (primiparous: 42.6% 38.2%; multiparous: 39.4% 30.3%). Similarly, multiparous conventional beef tended be (41.1% 34.3%). 2, Holstein 43) protocols described 1. Ovaries evaluated transrectal ultrasonography immediately before 24, 28, 32, 36, 40 h assess time from ovulation, blood samples collected G1, PGF2α treatment, 8 16 later, second (G2) luteolysis based serum progesterone (P4) concentrations. Although mean (± standard error mean) ovulation approximately (33.7 ± 0.6 31.5 h), P4 concentrations during proportion complete (P4 <0.4 ng/mL G2) did not differ between treatments. We conclude that replacing G1 decreased fertility but affect rate or completeness despite increased interval ovulation.

Reproductive responses of dairy cows with ovarian cysts to simultaneous human chorionic gonadotropin or gonadotropin-releasing hormone and cloprostenol compared to gonadotropin-releasing hormone alone treatment.
AIM Bovine ovarian cysts are a common cause of economic loss in modern dairy herds. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the reproductive responses to three protocols using hCG, GnRH and cloprostenol when the definite diagnosis of the type of ovarian cyst is/is not possible in dairy cows. MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 144 lactating dairy cows with ovarian cysts were divided i...
متن کاملFixed-time artificial insemination in replacement beef heifers after estrus synchronization with human chorionic gonadotropin or gonadotropin-releasing hormone.
We determined the effects of hCG on ovarian response, concentration of progesterone, and fertility in a fixed-time AI (TAI) protocol. Four hundred forty-four crossbred beef heifers were synchronized with the CO-Synch + CIDR (controlled internal drug-releasing insert) protocol. In addition, heifers were randomly assigned to 1 of 4 treatments in a 2 × 2 factorial arrangement of treatments with ma...
متن کاملThe effect of administering equine chorionic gonadotropin (eCG) and human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) post artificial insemination on fertility of lactating dairy cows.
The objective was to evaluate the effect of equine chorionic gonadotropin (eCG) and hCG post artificial insemination (AI) on fertility of lactating dairy cows. In Experiment 1, cows were either treated with eCG on Day 22 post AI (400 IU; n = 80) or left untreated (n = 84). On Day 29, pregnant cows were either treated with hCG (2500 IU; n = 32) or left untreated (n = 36). Pregnancy and progester...

Our objectives were to (1) compare the effect on pregnancies per artificial insemination (P/AI) of presynchronization of the estrous cycle with human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) 7d before resynchronization of ovulation (Resynch) initiated 25 d after timed artificial insemination (TAI) and compare the presynchronization treatment with the Double-Ovsynch (DO) protocol, and (2) evaluate whether h...
متن کاملAssessment of an accelerometer system for detection of estrus and treatment with gonadotropin-releasing hormone at the time of insemination in lactating dairy cows.
Two experiments were conducted to evaluate an accelerometer system (Heatime; SCR Engineers Ltd., Netanya, Israel) to manage reproduction in lactating dairy cows. In experiment 1, lactating Holstein cows (n=112) were fitted with an accelerometer system and were treated with GnRH followed 7d later by PGF(2α) to synchronize estrus. A total of 89 cows that had a follicle >10mm in diameter and a fun...
